UCD: Memory And Development Lab » Current Studies

In our lab, we study the development of episodic memory from early childhood to adolescence. Using behavioral and neuroimaging methods, our research examines typical and atypical development of the mechanisms underlying the ability to recall specific events about one’s own past. This capacity supports mundane yet crucial abilities such as finding ones’ keys, as well as more complex senses ranging from learning mechanisms in the classroom to a sense of continuity of self over time. Thus, it is crucial to understand how episodic memory develops.
