Thanks for visiting the H.I.P.P.O. Time site! H.I.P.P.O. Time (Hippocampal Investigation of Pediatric Populations Over Time) is a federally funded study examining how brain development affects our ability to remember. We are particularly interested in the development of a brain structure called the hippocampus because of its central role in memory. |

We are looking for children who are 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 years old
We will see you for two 3-hour appointments spaced roughly one week apart Click “Times and Places” above to learn more The first appointment will involve fun memory activities and exercises, like word games, picture games, computer games, and more!
The second appointment will involve an MRI brain scan, taken while your child watches a fun movie and does another engaging activity inside the scanner! Click “What is MRI?” above to learn more We will send you a high-quality picture of your child’s brain and a certificate after the scan!
We will compensate you with $30 after the first appointment, and $40 after the second, for a grand total of $70! This study is LONGITUDINAL, so we’ll be asking our families to come in for two more repeat visits over the next 2 to 4 years at additional compensation. ![]() |
