Carolina Bastos

Lab Manager

I graduated from UC Davis with a double major in Psychology and French. I have always had an interest in children's social and developmental behavior. Working in the Language Lab has given me a great insight on the development and process of language acquisition in infants. I hope to further my knowledge and experience in infant social behavior and development  as a future medical student aspiring to have a career as a Pediatrician.

I graduated from the University of Washington in 2010 with a B.S. in psychology and minors in Italian language and music. I am currently in the Developmental Psychology Ph.D. program at UC Davis, with a focus on early language development. My research interests include language learning mechanisms, early word acquisition, bilingualism, communication disorders and cognitive development. Working with the Language Learning Lab will be a great way to pursue these interests and to learn about the fascinating field of language development.
