Growing with the lab from putting decals on the wall to sensors on three and a half year olds during a longitudinal study on prosocial behaviors motivated my interest in resiliency and Psychophysiology. After graduating, I've continued my involvement in research at Stanford University and am currently working at the Culture and Emotion lab exploring how ideal affect influences emotion for East Asian American and European American samples. I love to bake and hook people (and myself) up to every physiological measure I know! Thanks to the opportunities to develop my research career at the H.E.R.D. lab, I gained the confidence and experience to apply to graduate programs as a first-generation college student.

I am currently a senior at Da Vinci Charter Academy in Davis and I joined the lab to explore my interest in psychology and gain experience working in a laboratory setting. I have always been fascinated with psychology and the many ways that we can use an in depth understanding of the field to help society as a whole through research and on an individual level through counseling and therapy. During my time at the lab I have learned a lot about the intricacies of the research process and the correlation between parent-child relationships and mental and behavioral development. Next year I plan to start pursuing my bachelor's degree in psychology and I hope to one day attend medical school and potentially become a private practice psychiatrist.
