Our lab is located in Young Hall, at the University of California, Davis. We adopt a multifaceted approach to studying the self and personality processes, focusing on a range of pertinent topics including development, emotion expression and regulation, implicit motivation, and theories of self. Our lab is equipped with extensive physiological recording devices, several testing computers, video recording and editing equipment, and a subject observation room. We invite undergraduate psychology majors to apply for research assistantships. Our research assistants (RAs) are critically involved in all aspects of the studies that we conduct, and typically come away from the experience with an increased knowledge of specific areas of personality and social psychology, as well as basic research principles. If you would like more information, feel free to contact any of us via email.
