Postdoctoral scientist, University of California San Francisco My research focuses on young children's emotional development, specifically their capacities for emotion regulation. I have examined the dyadic nature of emotion regulation socialization in mothers and preschool children and am currently studying emotion regulation in school-aged children's best friendships. Ultimately, I am interested in how the emotional quality of the parent-child relationship is associated with the quality of the child-friend relationship. In previous research I have examined the regulatory system of sleep and how problems or dysregulation in young children's sleep systems affect their daytime functioning. |
