There was some difference of opinion with regard to approval of case 2 (question wasn't asked for cases 1 and 3). Another perhaps even more interesting result is the difference of opinion regarding benefits and costs on all of these.
Think of yourself as an IRB member and comment on the responses. For example, do you see any problems or conflicts that might arise among the IRB members that would need to be resolved? Any thoughts on why opinions differed so much with regard to benefits and costs? Do you have a sense of what IRB boards members have to confront in their task? You don't have to address these specifically -- rather, let us know from your comments that you have read these and given them some thought. Other comments are more than welcome.
