Objective: Learn to use the PsycInfo database for doing on-line literature searches
Prerequisite: Download and print out the library tutorial (requires Acrobat Reader -- free software). Go through it using MELVYL online. (This is optional if you already have a good knowledge of doing on-line searches using our library databases.)
Assignment due by: Thurs 4/26, 8 p.m.
Instructions: For each of the 3 topics listed below, search the PSYC database (PsycINFO) on MELVYL and find a journal article that meets the following criteria:
If you are unable to locate one, you may not be taking full advantage of potential search terms. Do not simply rely on the subject command -- try keyword.
On the library assignment form enter the citations and call numbers that you have collected. Use the journal article style used on pg. 347 of the textbook (either Araujo for a single author or Guenther & Stratton for multiple authors) for listing each article. You will not be graded on exact style at this point in the course (that comes later) but follow these models as closely as you can.
