Assignments and deadlines

NOTE: The original pages have been modified slightly for use as examples -- BAS

Generally, the first assignment on a topic will be an individual one. For most assignments the follow-up work will be done in a workgroup. I will assign each of you to a 3 or 4-member workgroup.

Groups can use any means they wish for communication -- in person, on-line, newsgroup, or chat room. That is up to the group. You can access the newsgroup and chatroom by using MyUCDavis http://my.ucdavis.edu and checking within PSC41. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about these procedures.

The success of the group assignment depends on the information being submitted by the deadline. Each of you must take responsibilty for your group and see that the work is done on time. One of the goals of this course is to learn how to work with others in completing assignments, as team work is more often than not a necessary component of task performance on the job.
