SPECIAL PSYCHOLOGY 99 OR 199 RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
Ask a professor to sponsor your individual study project or work on the professor's research project. If you choose to study an area of psychology through practical experience you can receive Psychology 99 or 199 credit of up to 5 units per quarter (each unit is considered to be the equivalent of three hours of work per week).
It should be the responsibility of both student and faculty member to assure that the goal of achieving a meaningful learning experience for the student is met (See advisors for forms and additional information)
To obtain units for a 99/199 the faculty member needs to complete a 99/199 form located in the Advising office (141 Young Hall). Return this to an advisor in the Advising Office. You will then be given a CRN to use on RSVP and to indicate the number of units agreed upon. You do not need an add card.
Juniors and seniors are eligible to receive 199 credit. Sophomores and freshmen may receive 99 credit.
Check the 99/199 database on the Web to see research projects that are available. 199 forms are located in the literature rack by the Advising Office or you can download forms now from our FORMS CATALOG.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to come by the Advising Office and we will be happy to assist you.
