UCD: Psychology Research » The Requirement

What exactly is required?

You need to earn six credits by participating in approximately six hours of research (or submit brief papers). This usually means participating in six studies during the quarter, although some studies may offer more than one credit (if they take more than an hour of your time). You have until the last day of instruction to complete the 6-unit requirement.

The first of your credits can be obtained by completing an on-line background questionnaire which will be used by some of the researchers. This departmental prescreening questionnaire begins with "DSUR__." Even if you have taken a departmental prescreening questionnaire in a previous quarter, you may still take it for credit.

What happens if the requirement is not met?

If you have not earned the six required credits by the end of the last day of class, you will receive an Incomplete for the course. If the incomplete is not made up within three registered quarters, it will automatically be changed to an F. So please do everything in your power to complete the requirement before the last day of class. If you receive an incomplete please email the subject pool coordinator once you complete the requirement to release your grade.

How do I participate in experiments?

Your UserID should be the last 6 digits of your student ID and your password will be your last name (all lowercase) followed by the last 4 digits of your student ID.
