 Research Objectives

        I am interested in the relation between adult attachment style, romantic relationships, and sexuality, particularly from an evolutionary perspective.Some of my current project topics include: Mate poaching (going after someone already in a relationship) and attachment style; The link between attachment style and safer sex attitudes and behaviors; Excessive reassurance seeking, depression, and attachment-related anxiety; The reproductive adaptiveness of avoidant attachment patterns; The paradox that individuals high on avoidance, who dislike much of sexuality as adolescents, tend to become promiscuous in adulthood.
