 Research Objectives

Josh is interested in how and why attachment, self-esteem, and cultural belief systems function to promote psychological equanimity (i.e. security), and to buffer against the innate human predilection for anxiety.  In terms of research, Josh is trying to grasp these processes by attacking the security structures and measuring conscious and unconscious compensatory defenses.  He is currently trying to provide empirical support for a model of attachment, self-esteem, and worldviews as interdependent components of an overarching security system.
