Gail Goodman elected as a new member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters

Distinguished Professor Gail Goodman was recently elected as a new member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Founded in 1857, the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters is a non-governmental, nationwide body which embraces all fields of learning. Its main purpose is to support the advancement of science and scholarship in Norway.  Along with her appointment in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, Davis, Professor Goodman was also a professor at the University of Oslo, Norway between 2001 and 2006. During that time and after, she helped build a research program at the University of Oslo on children, trauma, and law. She was also a member of the Center for Advanced Study, Norwegian National Academy of Science and Letters, Research Group on Eyewitness Memory.
