Resources for instructors of Intro Psychology: Enhancing the college experience: Helping students thrive

Site produced by a joint Task Force of Divisions 2 and 35 of the American Psychological Association

Many students arrive on a college campus and find that they must make choices they never faced during high school. The orientation session for first-year students may consist of little more than a guided tour of the campus and a brief overview of college policies. Our aim is to assist Introductory Psychology faculty in addressing students' need for information. We provide links to websites and descriptions of videotapes that can be used as supplements to existing course content. Our focus is on social issues, rather than academic/cognitive problems. The videotapes were reviewed by Margaret Matlin, Ph.D., Department of Psychology, SUNY Geneseo. We are working to fill in the blanks, please check back for added information. We welcome your suggestions for additional sites on these or related topics.
