INTRO TO COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

Prerequisites: Psychology 1 and Psychology 41

Course Description: This course is an introduction to the basic concepts and theories in the field of cognitive psychology. The course provides an overview of the structures and processes, both psychological and neurological, that are involved in making sense of the environment.

Course Format: This is a 4-unit course with a lecture format.

Course Topics: Course topics include basic neurology, sensation, attention, pattern recognition, memory, knowledge representation, and language.

Course Grading: Course grades are based on 3 midterm exams.
