Course description: This course is an introduction to the basic concepts and theories in the field of cognitive psychology. The course provides an overview of the structures and processes, mental and neurological, involved in making sense of and responding adaptively to the environment. Course format: This is a 4 unit course with a lecture format. Course topics: Topics include basic neurology, sensation, attention, pattern recognition, memory, and knowledge representation. Grading: Grades will be based on 3 midterm exams.
