Psychology

Course Goals:

Introduction to human information processing, mental representation and

transformation, imagery, attention, memory, language processing, concept

formation, problem solving, and computer simulation.

This course is the prerequisite for PSC 130, 132, and 135.

Topics:

Introduction to Neurocognition, Attention, Consciousness, Pattern Recognition,

Perception, Knowledge Representation, Memory, Language, Problem Solving,

Imagery, Reasoning, & Choice

Course Format:

Lecture: 4 hours

Exams:            Two midterms and a two-hour final. Multiple-choice format.
