    Prerequisites: Psychology 1, 41, 168, and either Psychology 140 or 151.

    Course Description:  This course gives students an overview of the field of clinical psychology.  We'll cover the field's historical background, education and training of clinical psychologists, theoretical influences on the field. and major areas of research and practice.  Students will learn about the interface between this and other areas of psychology, as well as how clinical psychology differs from other applied fields.  With a focus on assessment, intervention and research, we'll look at specialty areas, current issues, and trends in the field of clinical psychology.
