PROSEMINAR IN PSYCHOLOGY

Prerequisites: Graduate standing in Psychology or consent of instructor. See instructor for CRN.

Overview:

The goal of this course is to provide new Psychology graduate students with an overview of the field

of psychology as represented in the research activities of individual faculty members. Each class

session will be the responsibility of one or two faculty members. During the session the faculty

member(s) will present an overview of the general area of his/her research, as well as more specific

descriptions of current research activities.

 

 

Grading:

In preparation for each session students will be required to read one research paper/journal article.

Class attendance and discussion are required.

 

 

Required Text: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. (Students reports

should follow APA format).
