Excellence in Undergraduate Research

Chancellor's Award/Dean Keith Simonton Prize for Excellence in Undergraduate Research

This award and prize recognizes students who have distinguished themselves through their excellence in and contribution to undergraduate research. Recipients of the award receive an inscribed plaque and a cash prize during the commencement ceremonies. Students from all undergraduate colleges are eligible for this honor. Beginning in 2004 the finalists have also been honored in a special ceremony. Although when initiated in 1994 the award and prize were only bestowed on a single graduating senior, since 2011 as many as two can be so honored.
