Complete Description of 199 We are seeking undergraduate research assistants to work on a longitudinal study of intensive meditation training. Our multidisciplinary approach utilizes interviews, self-report, behavioral, electrophysiological, and biochemical measures to investigate the effects of meditation training on a broad range of cognitive, affective, and biochemical processes. Research assistants joining our lab will initially spend time on data entry projects while becoming acquainted with the scope and components of the project. Depending on their area of interest, motivated students will then have the opportunity to process and analyze a wide array of quantitative and qualitative measures. Strong candidates should be self-directed, comfortable with computers and learning new software, and willing to commit to at least one year in this internship. Students are asked to make a commitment of 6-9 hours per week. Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
