Our DUP project focuses on reducing the time between the onset of serious mental illness and engagement in appropriate treatment. We are also examining barriers to accessing mental healthcare. We have partnered with several community clinics to test (1) the effectiveness of electronic screening in improving the identification of psychosis and (2) the effectiveness of community based mobile assessment in improving engagement with treatment. We also coordinate community outreach programs to educate providers about the early signs of psychosis.
