Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab

The Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab is looking for motivated and responsible students to help conduct electrophysiological and behavioral studies of language comprehension and cognition in young and older adults. Students will be trained in recording of electrophysiological data and will be involved in all aspects (stimulus preparation, subject recruitment, testing, and data analysis) of research projects. Other responsibilities will include collecting and reading scientific papers relevant to the research.

Prerequisites (if any)

​Completion of PSC 41 (Research Methods) and PSC 132 (language and Cognition) OR PSC 100 (Cognition) PREFERRED.


  • 2 or 3 unit commitment (6-9 hours per week), for at least two quarters. We prefer to have research assistants stay with the lab for longer periods of time, as the longer you are with us, the more you will learn.
  • Sophomores and Juniors are preferred, but Seniors are welcome to apply.
