Professor Thompson Receives Lifetime Achievement Award from "Zero to Three"

Professor Ross Thompson has been selected to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from "Zero to Three", a national nonprofit organization devoted to the healthy development of young children and their familiesProfessor Thompson is a distinguished professor of Psychology and author of the recent book "The Brain Development Revolution: Science, the Media, and Public Policy" published by Cambridge University Press. A developmental psychologist, Professor Thompson studies early parent-child relationships, the development of emotion understanding and emotion regulation, conscience development, prosocial motivation, early moral development, and the growth of self-understanding in young children.  He is broadly concerned with the development of constructive social motivation early in life and has served on numerous scientific advisory boards for organizations promoting healthy child development.
