My research focuses on longitudinal associations between personality traits and educational outcomes in under-represented minority groups. I am interested in: 1. understanding the intrapersonal (e.g., motivational processes) and interpersonal (e.g., student-peer and student-teacher relationships) processes that link personality to educational outcomes; 2. Identifying contextual factors (e.g., family, school, neighborhood contexts, and socio-cultural values) that moderate the association between personality traits and educational outcomes; 4. Idiographic differences in the mediation and moderation mechanisms using ecological momentary assessment data; and 5. Heterogeneity and generalizability of these mechanisms across samples using coordinated data analysis.
