Research Focus
Dr. Mendoza's principal research interests concern the neuroendocrine mechanisms contributing to the generation and maintenance of primate social systems. Her interests include psychosomatics and the sociophysiology of stress and reproduction in various mammalian species. Dr. Mendoza's professional activities include serving as Associate Editor of the Journal of Comparative Psychology, Aggressive Behavior, and American Journal of Primatology. She is a member of the core faculty at the California Regional Primate Research Center. She is also a member of the core faculty for the NSF Research Training Grant in Animal Behavior, and the NIMH Training Program in Emotion Research. |
