Simonton Honored with Mensa 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award
Emeritus Professor of Psychology honored with prestigious Mensa Award
Dean K. Simonton received the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from Mensa. This award honors Simonton's illustrious career and his more than 550 publications including books, chapters, and articles that explore genius, creativity, leadership, talent, and aesthetics. Professor Simonton views intelligence as "a certain set of cognitive capacities that enable an individual to adapt and thrive in any given environment they find themselves in, and those cognitive capacities include things like memory and retrieval, and problem solving and so forth”.
