Mentoring and Personnel Advancement

Organize and promote a graduate school open house for URM students (summer) to teach the "hidden curriculum" of applying to graduate schools (open to UC Davis students and students from other universities).Promote the accomplishments and works of diverse students, postdocs, and faculty on Twitter.

- Redesign the primary Entryway/Welcome Space of Young Hall in conjunction with Anthropology to make it a welcoming and accessible space for all students.

Develop and launch a permanent student-curated distinguished speaker series in which students nominate speakers who reflect our goals of promoting diversity in the field.
Trainee Recruitment/Retention/Support

Shadow committee will sort through graduate applications to pair applicants with potential mentors to catch those who might fall through the cracks of traditional review procedures- Develop summer research program & research-focused course
